Job Description:

Teach dance courses; grade students, attend and participate in college and departmental meetings, assessment and reporting.

Requirements:

Significant experience in field/genre of dance, evidence of excellence in teaching dance form(s), BA/BFA and MA/MFA preferred for best consideration, but not required.

Additional Information:

Work Schedule: Varies based upon program needs.
Compensation: $682 per credit hour.

Full Time and Part Time Teachers and Independent Contractors

Bachelors Degree required. Preferable degree would be in the fine arts and/or fine arts education.
Candidates must have a passion for teaching children and love working within a community of families.
Candidates must be able to work with some or all of the following: Preschoolers (ages 18 mos.-4 yrs.), Pre-Ballet and Beginners (ages 5-8 yrs.), Intermediates (ages 9+ yrs.), Advanced (ages 14+ yrs.)
All candidates must be able to teach some level of Ballet, Ballet Petite offers its own specialized curriculum training for all genres and levels. Versatility in other disciplines a plus. These disciplines include: Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Voice, Acting and/or piano.
Candidates must possess strong ethical character traits and attributes such as: Creativity, reliability, energy and positivism.
Special Skills: Let us know what your specialty is, can you sew, paint or build sets or do you play an instrument?
All teachers must be CPR certified within the first month of employment.
Candidates should have weekend availability

Full Time Staff must also possess the following skills:

Candidates must possess strong administrative skills. These skills should include: Excellent writing skills, computer skills in Microsoft Suite, communication skills, and strong customer service capabilities.
