The Group Exercise Instructor is the primary leader of a group exercise class, under the general guidance of the Fitness Director or Group Exercise Coordinator, and instructs all fitness classes within the guidelines of the Association to maintain the quality of programs.
Plans and instructs classes in a specialty area. Provides participants with pertinent information, quick and efficient service, and instructs all classes within the guidelines of the Association to maintain the quality of the programs.
Possible positions available teaching one or more of the following Dance courses: Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Modern, Dance Appreciation, Hip-Hop Culture.
Dance Activity Specialists are employed in the following camps;
Day Camp: 4 – 8 year olds (Dream Camp: 6 – 9 year olds – Trinity
Senior Camp: 9 – 15 year olds (Dream Camp: 10 – 16 year olds (Trinity College & Girard College locations only))
Dance: Through different forms, techniques, and styles, camper’s fine tune their skills and create a team dance to be performed at the end of the summer show.
The Dance Institute of Washington Instructors within Friendship Armstrong Academy are professionally trained dancers invested in sharing their passion for the art with young dancers. Instructors should lead by example in areas such as punctuality, responsibility, motivation, and professionalism.
Dance Counselors should be qualified to teach beginning through advanced levels of Ballet and/or Hip Hop for grades levels 3rd- 5th and ages 7-11. Dance Counselors should also be qualified to monitor, supervise and coordinate daily enrichment programming and field trips.
